The commentator links an $8.95 XRP scenario to Bitcoin reaching $295,000, while tokenization and large-holder activity remain uncertain catalysts.

The Modern Investor’s $8.95 XRP Target Depends on a Much Larger Crypto Rally

An XRP price of $8.95 is a conditional forecast, not an independent target: it sits within a much broader bullish scenario that would also require Bitcoin to climb to $295,000. Crypto YouTuber The Modern Investor has sketched out those levels alongside targets for Ethereum and Cardano, framing them as possible outcomes if the current market cycle produces gains on a scale comparable to, or beyond, earlier rallies.

The numbers make the scale of that scenario clear. With XRP around $1.33 on Oct. 14, reaching $8.95 would mean a gain of roughly 573%, or a price nearly 6.73 times higher. Bitcoin, near $81,801 and up roughly 4.3% over the previous 30 days, would need to rise about 260.6% to hit $295,000—an increase of $213,199 from that level.

Targets built on a broad market rally

The Modern Investor said he could see Bitcoin reaching around $295,000. His other projections included $11,000 for Ethereum and $5 for Cardano, with XRP at $8.95. These figures describe one commentator’s view of what a strong cycle might deliver; they aren’t evidence that those prices are likely or that the assets will move in tandem.

That distinction matters. A Bitcoin target doesn’t mechanically translate into a particular XRP price. The two assets can respond differently to market demand, liquidity, and investor positioning. A sharp rise in Bitcoin could coincide with gains elsewhere, but it doesn’t establish how much capital would flow into XRP, or whether any rise would persist.

The source of the forecast is a video discussion, where The Modern Investor set out targets for several large cryptocurrencies. The original segment is available here. Its figures are best read as scenario estimates: they show how bullish the commentator is, rather than providing a timetable or a mechanism that guarantees the targets will be reached.

Tokenization is part of the bullish case

One proposed catalyst is the tokenization of real-world assets. The Modern Investor pointed to projections that between $5 trillion and $10 trillion in such assets could be tokenized by 2030. In principle, representing assets as tokens can bring new types of financial activity onto blockchain networks and could draw more capital and institutional participants into the sector.

But a projection for the value of assets that might be tokenized doesn’t specify how much activity would use any particular blockchain or token. Nor does a larger tokenized-asset market automatically translate into demand for XRP. The link between broad adoption and a specific asset’s market price would depend on how systems are built, which networks they use, and whether users need the token as part of those systems.

Fundstrat co-founder and BitMine chairman Tom Lee also features in the bullish argument. The source reports that Lee sees the current crypto bull run as potentially stronger than earlier cycles, pointing to tokenization, artificial intelligence, and a more supportive regulatory climate as differences from prior rallies associated with initial coin offerings, meme coins, and stablecoins. Those themes offer a rationale for expecting a different cycle, but they don’t resolve whether the resulting activity would translate into sustained demand for XRP.

Large purchases are not proof of future prices

The Modern Investor also cited reports of large Ethereum acquisitions and substantial XRP accumulation. He interpreted those moves as a possible sign that wealthy investors are positioning for a significant market shift. Such activity can be worth tracking, but it doesn’t reveal the buyers’ full motives or establish that they expect a specific price. Large purchases may also be followed by changes in positioning, and reports of accumulation alone don’t show what happens next.

For XRP holders and developers, the central question is whether broad crypto growth would create a distinct reason to use or hold XRP, rather than simply lifting many assets during a speculative upswing. The source offers possible market-wide drivers—tokenization, AI, and large-investor activity—but doesn’t quantify their effect on XRP or set out a direct path from those trends to $8.95.

The figures therefore work as a measure of the forecast’s ambition. Bitcoin would have to rise by about 260.6% from the cited level, while XRP would need a roughly 573% gain. Whether tokenization and other themes can support moves of that size remains uncertain; the concrete takeaway is that the XRP target depends on a highly bullish reading of the wider crypto cycle, not on a standalone catalyst established in the source.
